Are the things that once made you happy no longer making you happy? Have you been through a frightening or upsetting experience that left you feeling scared, lonely, or even doubting who you are? Maybe you’ve been through a series of little things that you believe shouldn’t be bothering you, but they are. You keep telling yourself you shouldn't feel this way, but nothing seems to help. Are your friends and family concerned, but you’d really rather not talk to them right now? Have you spent countless hours on Google trying to figure out what it is you're dealing with or watched tons and tons of videos on TikTok about childhood trauma and thought "Hey! That's me!"  Let's be real, you just want to get your life back.

As someone who once worked in the Nashville music industry and has experienced how hard our state is trying to silence us, I cater especially to the LGBTQ+ community, as well as those who consider themselves to be creatives. Don't get me wrong, if you're reading this blurb and thinking, "Well, I don't really fit into either of those groups, but I still vibe with what you're saying," then reach out anyway!  Everyone is welcome!  While I work with a variety of presenting struggles, my main areas of focus are PTSD, childhood trauma, anxiety, and self-esteem/self-worth. If you have ever been in therapy before & found yourself disappointed, call me and we can work through what you need. I use a variety of approaches such as brainspotting, EMDR, parts work, and sand tray.

Counseling can be scary. I know. I've been in your seat. Just by looking at this page, you are taking a major step forward toward healing. If what you have read here fits what you are looking for, please reach out! I am excited to go on this journey with you. Are you ready to feel empowered to navigate life's hurdles, move past things that once hurt you, and live life happily on your own terms?

Trauma Therapy

Have you experienced something scary that seems to have changed everything?  Maybe this was an experience with sexual assault, the loss of a loved one, a series of micro aggressions, a natural disaster, or emotional or physical abuse as a child.

Symptoms of trauma may include anxiety, depression, fatigue, flashbacks, irritability, mood swings, or a series of failed relationships.

Using brainspotting or EMDR, we can reclaim your life and offset the burden of trauma.  These are very well-researched trauma therapies that I am excited to share with you.

There's nothing wrong with you.  It doesn't matter if your trauma happened yesterday or 30 years ago.  You are a survivor.  Let's go from surviving to thriving.

LGBTQ+ Issues

Do you or someone you know and love identify as LGBTQ+?  Maybe you're questioning your sexuality right now and feel like you can't talk to anyone about it. Have you experienced discrimination, abandonment, fear of walking alone, fear of losing your rights, unwanted sexualization, or just a general unhappiness with who you are?

Queer-identifying people experience unique struggles in the world.  Community is crucial to the well-being of the LGBTQ+ community.  It is your right to feel comfortable and safe being your authentic self in and outside of the therapy office.

Using techniques such as parts work and brainspotting, we can work towards your goals together.  Identifying as LGBTQ+ can be terrifying and traumatic...and also incredibly admirable and brave.

You are not a mistake.  You are worthy.  Let your colors shine.

Young Creatives

Let's be real, being a young creative type is hard.  We think differently than our classmates and peers which means we can oftentimes face bullying, feelings of being outcast, and loneliness.  With the constant scrutiny and the need to "be the best", many creative types experience struggles such of anxiety, feelings of worthlessness, feelings of failure, loss of identity, depression, and hopelessness.  As artists, there's a good chance we're dealing with perfectionism.

I have been there.  I originally wanted to pursue a career in the music industry.  I saw the brutal side of a beautiful industry and had the make some decisions.

Using various therapeutic techniques, together we can get you back to the place you were when you fell in love with music...or maybe even in a better place.  Art requires vulnerability and vulnerability requires bravery.  You ARE worth this bravery.

Call me.  Let's reclaim that love you have for life and all things creative and beautiful.
